This first post is just to get my idea down and recorded, it's something i've been wanting to put more effort into and i'm getting a chance now.

This is a complete engine design combining ideas from "W" engine layouts and horizontally-opposed engine layouts.  Any even number of cylinders over 4 will work, but all engines i intend to produce will use a multiple of 4, for the cylinder count.  There are two banks of cylinders, 180 degrees apart, and then the cylinders on each bank have a split of anywhere from 7-25 degrees between them.  I will use engines with overhead cam and cam-in-block designs depending on the purpose of the engine.  I would like to see this engine run on as many different fuel types as possible. I really think it could open up some doors for some new fuel sources, some faster burning fuels.  Anyways...this is the basic idea of the engine, and as soon as i get some layouts onto the computer from sketches, i'll post them up as well.
